On to Siena, we stopped in Orieveto (sp) for lunch but unfortunately your restaurant recommendation closed right as we got there. still a lovely town and of course found something to eat! Our apt in Siena was great and we followed several of your recs for dinner. Especially liked Taverna di San Giuseppe and Osteria il Carrocio. Mario gave us a lovely tour. He was very informative, professional and friendly. I understand the Paleo way better than I ever have. We enjoyed our day trip out of the city, cutting out a part of it to visit a clay pot factory (for Peter's business) but still saw half of the excursion you provided, including Trattoria Osenna under the wisteria tree for lunch which we loved. Made it to the monastery but no singing that day due to illness. Next day on through Chianti to Florence. Dario's for lunch was great and fun. Bagno Vignoni was also very interesting. On to our lovely apt in Piazza Santa Croce. The apt was beautiful and exceptionally comfortable. It was unfortunate that the square was taken over by the Calcio but we did find that a learning experience as well! Watched a bit on Sat. It is very unusual! We enjoyed our tour with Mario's connection; Cristina. Unfortunately Peter twisted his knee one night so it slowed us down a bit. Saw quite a few museums, churches etc., ate well and had a very very memorable cooking lesson
Whew, hard to come back to reality.
Thank you so much for all you did to make our trip that much more wonderful. I will definitely pass your name along to friends and call you myself in the future.
