Our entire family say "BELLISIMO" ! We loved Casa di Andrea - lovely in every way! Food, scenary, vino, pool, family togetherness ♥♥
We want to come back. Trips to Firenze, Siena, the nearby villages and statuary woods were all wonderful. We loved... especially Grazia our fabulous cook !

We had an amazing stay in this wonderful villa. Where to begin? Peace, tranquility, sunrises , sunsets, figs, wine, amazing food and of course our daily visit with Chico and Matilda the neighbors dogs!!!! Trips to Siena, and Florence, Trip to teh Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Lunch and dinner at both restaurants in town. AMAZING!
My wife and I celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary and were blessed to have our 3 children celebrate with us. We look forward to our return. We stayed in Rome before our stay here and now we are off to Venice.
Thank you for the memories we will cherish forever.

The house is Heaven!! It?s perfection! We don?t want to leave. We chose to have the young girls cook for us for 4 nights. It?s relaxing and delicious!! They?re so adorable and explained & watched the Palio with us. Today we spent the day in Siena watching some of the celebrations from yesterday?s Palio including the winning horse. Our day trips have been so much fun! We have the funniest videos of our driving in a narrow twisting town street. You have to watch and laugh along with us. I got my picture taken with the singing butcher. Ate lunch there. Yummy!! I?ll tell more later. Off to Florence tomorrow morning.

Our family had a great time at Casa di Andrea and enjoyed the surrounding areas. We definitely recommend the place to our friends. Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed the size, setting and décor of the house, and found Grazia and Daniela particularly helpful. The vacation was everything we hoped it would be.
Two helpful suggestions: 1) note availability of excellent Farmer?s Market held on Wednesday mornings at edge of town; 2) note that most nearby restaurants are closed on Monday. The household instructions could mention that dishwasher operation requires a wall switch to be turned on.

Dear Patrice,
I just swam laps. Beckie and Doug are drinking wine with the delicious bread dipped in the owner's olive oil. Kenny is chilling on a chaise. We are eating at your fav restaurant at 8.
The pictures don't do this stunning place justice! Federica is gorgeous and as cute as a bugs ear. She thinks you are wonderful. I want you to both come to N'Awlins to play with me.
I sent a pix to a colleague who wants to know if this turns into a five bedroom somehow? She thinks she wants to come here with her family this fall or next spring for two weeks. I told her there is something attached but I don't know what's in it.
My baby sister is the most relaxed I have seen her in three years. Thank you for that.
Beckie wants instructions on how to use a bidet. She thought it was a boy toilet. I laughed until I had to go blow my nose!
I appreciate all u have done for me.
Federica got pecans and Beckies homegrown pepper jelly.
Hugs, friend!
Note to Lori, So glad that the other part of the house is not obvious to you! The doors at the end of the halls on both floors (the ones that look like linen closests) actually open up to the other side of the house that can accommodate an addtional 4 guests with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Enjoy your time in this lovely casa, and give my regards to Federica and the restaurant owner, Massimo. Looking forward to hearing other wonderful stories when you get back, Patrice

Everything from booking to arrival to check out went seamlessly. The villa is comfortable and spacious with all the necessities provided. The option to have the kitchen stocked with essentials and a welcome meal made the transition so easy. We did a lot of wine tasting and wandering around small villages in the area, as well as a truffle hunt! After a week of moving from hotel suite to hotel suite, it was so nice to unpack and relax in our own space.

It is very convenient to visit all the wonderful towns nearby. My biggest problem was I didn't want to leave each day to sightsee.I was perfectly happy in my Villa. We will defintely return next year.

Casa Andrea is a wonderfully appointed and maintained residence. 5 couples spent the last week of september 2012 celebrating 40 years of marriage. the home's accomodations were more than we all expected. each ensuite bedroom was individually decorated in the finest tatste!
the 3 living areas and 2 kitchens were perfect the evenings we prepared our own dinner. the property was perfectly landscaped with olive groves and fruit trees, the figs were heavenly. the outdoor grill, kitchen and pool cabana area were a pleasant surprise. we spent several evenings sipping wine and enjoying the local cheeses at the table under the portico.
the local town was an easy walk and had all the necessities including a supermarket, butcher and baker, and farmers market on wednesday. the restaurant at the castle was superb.
the location is central to all of the best of tuscany. our day trips included, siena, assisi, montelpulciano, san gimigano, montelcino and host of small towns within a 30 minute drive over well mintained and easy to navigate roads. we all hope to return and we highly recommend Casa Andrea

We had such a wonderful week at the Casa di Andrea. It was a perfect place to spend time with our family. Eating breakfast under the arbor of fruit trees was always a delight and we loved cooling off afternoons in the beautiful pool. We did lots of exploring of old towns and abbeys and ?ooed and aahed? at the scenery along our drives. In addition to the Tuscan hillsides, the sunflower fields did not disappoint. Having the COOP so close helped us to plan the meals we ate in the villa and having the Wednesday market was a great surprise. I don?t think I?ve ever had such delicious fruits! (For the dog lovers in our group, Harry was a sweet visitor.)
Thank you for providing such a beautiful home-away-from-home.
Observations during our stay:
Quite beautiful villa? kitchen and bathrooms were nicely updated. The pool was wonderful. The property, itself, with the outdoor areas to eat at and the pool to cool off in, were very enjoyable. And all the information about the towns in the area were great to have. Two of the bathrooms in the newer section had water leaks but we were able to share other bathrooms during the 2 days they were being repaired. Everyone working on the problem was very nice.
Also, the bedrooms in the original part of the house could not cool down on 5 of the 7 nights we were there. Air conditioning units might be a good idea for those rooms. (Even using the floor fans from the kitchens did not really help the bedrooms at night. And we were very careful to keep the house as cool as possible during the hot days.)
The directions were great. I might add that the turn at the cemetery onto the private road might say ?turn between the two buildings at the cemetery. And the ?do not enter? sign on that gravel road does not apply to the villa.?
The area around San Giovanni D?Asso is beautiful. We explored lots of the old towns in the vicinity, and had wonderful meals. Our last night, we ate in Montisi at a new trattoria called Il Barrino. We let the waiter decide our meals and we all had such a fun evening!!! (The food was yummy and the price was very reasonable.)
FYI: In San Querico D?Orcia, the ceramic Factory Le Crete is no longer there ?
I am happy to tell our friends to rent a home in Italy from Papavero Villa Rentals. You will be our first choice for our (hopefully) next visit.
Note from Papavero Villa Rentals Thanks for your input ! We've added your suggestion to our directions and sadly we've removed the Ceramic Factory from our travel tips. Grazie ancora Deena!

FIVE STARS! Everything was just lovely!
We sat out every night and enjoyed the stars and the peace and quiet. And the fireplace ? we did enjoy that also. Daniella was so nice and helpful when we had questions. AND loved Harry, the neighbor?s dog who would stop by every night to say hello. We really encourage people to go to the nearby gardens that is listed in the villa guide ? truly spectacular. The owner who greeted us did tell us to go ? but I do not think people truly appreciate the suggestion. Our week was just perfect. We just loved the house and the area. It was all so beautiful ? the sunrises and sunsets are something to behold. Took lots of pictures but nothing compares to being there. We missed going to the abbey and hearing the monks chant their prayers ? I want to come back for that. The restaurant at the hotel in town was all that it was built up to be and more. I just wished we had another night to enjoy the food and atmosphere. And the people who worked there were very gracious. Again ? the garden is a must see ? and we were lucky enough to meet and talk with Shepard, the owner - artist.
We loved the location, and that we could take day trips to such beautiful towns that are in the area.
Only a few little things that could have been approved, but they were minor. We were challenged with the washing machine ? couldn?t get the spin cycle to work very well. But then didn?t realize that it takes hours to do a load of wash ? the washing machines in Italy are very slow. I would also have to would that our welcome dinner was good ? but not great. It seemed as if the people who cooked for us would rather have been somewhere else. They were in no way rude, but came and left rather quickly and not much interaction. And maybe I was expecting more than I should have. Outside of that all was great. Note from Papavero Villa Rentals: Welcome Dinners are not the same as a Villa Cook, because your arrival time may be delayed by flights, weather, etc. local cooks prepare a simple meal that can be heated up when you arrive. This meal is not the same as a cook coming in to prepare meals while you are at the villa
I would definitely tell others to rent from Papavero Villas, your advice and hands on experience certainly made our trip and gave us one more reason to keep coming back to Italy. Thanks go out from all of us!

The villa was better than we hoped! The views were wgorgeious in al directions
We really loved the villa, its great location, the beauty and serenity of its surroundings. We had everything that we needed, and the directions and recommendations were perfect. The fire place was a great feature on a few cold nights, and I will always remember the view of the sunset from the windows as we enjoyed wine by the fireplace on our last few nights. It was too cold to enjoy the pool, but we had many meals and drinks beside the pool and enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings. The only disappointment we had was Only Harry! We knew he would come to visit, but on the first day as we were sitting by the pool we watched hoim run inside the house, and before we could get to the house he ran out with an entire kilo of new Pecorino! We had a huge laugh, but it was quite unfortunate that he stole the cheese we had just bought! But the girls loved him, and the cat, and they loved running around the yard with both whenever they came to visit.
A few suggestions: Very few? it was so great. Maybe a few more dishes, another set of plates, cups and wine glasses, and one or two more serving plates would be great. Loved the fresh flowers and Italian soaps! A few games and CDs might be nice as well.
The surrounding neighborhood was Gorgeous. We walked to the town a few times (without the children) and enjoyed a cappuccino and some cheese and wine. The grocery store in the twon had a very low selection, but we were able to find what we needed there or in nearby towns.
We loved the restaurant Il Pizzo in San Q?uirico Orcia. It was by far the best meal we had our entire trip!
The cooking class and meal the first night were GREAT, highly recommended for all.
Our overall impression was GREAT. We would return again to the same property, and I have already recommended it to severl friends. Highly recommend Papavero Villa Rentals and the property. Maybe suggest booking further in advance? we booked in June for September, so we were pushing our luck and probably had lower selection (but we loved what we did rent).
Excellent service all around. Thank you Patrice and Federica for making our trip to Tuscany so perfect.
Ann F. (Americans living in Germany)
We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Casa Andrea! thank you so much !! the breathaking views, pool, meals cookd in the villa was above and beyond the best food of our trip.
Of course we arrived during the hottest week of the summer ( August ) but managed alright without air conditioning. Screens would have helped so much but the advantages of the villa superseded the lack of air conditioning.
Ann G. (Chicago, IL USA)
We passed a beautiful week at Casa Andrea, the house is marvelous and it is sad that we couldn't stay longer. It was a fantastic visit for us, and we truly enjoyed it.

What a lovely way to visit Tuscany! Casa Andrea is lovely, the location is easy to visit so many wonderful villages and towns. The leisure hours around the pool with fabulous views wa a bonus. We really appreciated having Harry, the neighbor's dog, stop by to visit every day. Everything was just grand, we surely hnope to return and will certainly tell our friends!

MOLTO BENE! the say was very special for all of us and exceeded our expectations! The dinners prepared by Nadia and Grazia were delicious and added to our wonderful Tuscan experience. Hopefully we will return to your beautiful country again and weill recommend it to all our friends. Our only recommendation is that a bicylce with a basket would be a nice added touch, as well as a fly swatter!
Alice (New York City NY)
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa in the heart of of Tuscany. Our vists to the many small towns were quite enjoyable. The food was amazing, especially prepared by Nadia and Grazia our villa cooks.
The views were breathtaking adn we really enjoyed our hikes in the area.

Our entire family loved staying in this beautiful home, we will be spreading the word throughout San Francisco. I loved your reconstruction,.it is clear how much thought went into the restoration. it was very comfortable and at the same time had a wonderful old look, the doorways intot he ktichen, the old brick by the sink, etc. The changing area by teh pool are so well thought out . we have eaten all of our meals outside in the beautiful garden. Thank you very much!
L and L G. (San Francisco, CAQ USA)
Our stay at the villa was wonderful! The views were breathtaking, the villa is beautifully decorated, peaceful and trnaquil. We love the fact that it is centrally located to small towns and vineyards. Your gardener/caretaker was very helpful and addressed any quesitons/issues we had. Patrice & Virginia,
I have been meaning to e-mail you to thank you for everything regarding our villa rental in Tuscany. We returned last weekend and had a marvelous time! The accommodations were superb, the food wonderful, Luana & Nadia (who cooked for us) were great, and the countryside was fantastic. Our favorite thing was to take long hikes on the trails & there were lots of trails in case any future people want to know.
We appreciate your help with all our stupid questions beforehand and for making our vacation a wonderful experience. If you would ever like to use us as reference-referrals, please feel free.
Molto buono!
Ciao,
John & Elizabeth

What a beautiful villa Casa di Andrea is! We had the most lovely stay here. We were greeted by the owner, Federica. What a wonderful lady, she was so pleasant. She showed us all around and then sat with us for a while and chatted, she even took a photo with us. We were all so pleasantly pleased with the beauty and comfort of the villa, it was everything we expected and more. Our first evening there was very special. After a long day of traveling and settling in, we (all 6 of us) relaxed in the upstairs living room with our vino, while Naddia and Gracia cooked our welcome dinner. I highly recommend that you do this, it was a fabulous experience. The food was so fresh, so homemade and oh soooo good. So good that we had them cook for us again one evening during the week. Not only was the food delicious but it was so well presented, we had a great dinner. Naddia and Gracia are just wonderful ladies; we had a lot of fun with them. Although we were busy most of the time touring other places, we did arrange to take at least one day off and just hang out at the villa. Again, I would recommend doing this because the villa and its land are just so beautiful that you need to just relax and take everything in. From the olive trees and the beautiful flowers to the relaxing pool, the villa and its property are just beautiful. The comfy decorating touches and full amenities make this a wonderful choice. I don?t want to forget its great location, which by the way is very centrally located for day trips to many places. You also have the convenience of walking into town, which we did several times for fresh groceries and to get a true feel of living there.
M. H. (Reno, NV USA)
We were there the last week of Sept with two other couples. We left the villa with zero complaints - seriously! The villa is beautiful, large and completely up-to-date. The bedrooms were spacious and each has a private bath. The pool is first rate and is an ideal setting for evening cocktails. There is also a friendly black lab, Harry, who stops by for breakfast and dinner.
The villa was ideally located for us. Approx three hours from the Rome airport and half that to Florence. A number of Tuscany's must see towns and villages are within easy reach. The surrounding countryside - a bit different than northern Tuscany - is gorgeous.
Villa di Andrea is a sure thing and we highly recommend it......we will definitely go back!
P. O. (Tuscon, AZ USA)
Casa Andrea was warm, cozy and beautiful. We would not change a thing! The villa was everything I expected it to be and more. (Minor thing, bring a fly swatter and a flash light for walking at night.) The restaurante Castello in town is highly recommended, we ate there often. We just loved this house and the cook and gardener were so sweet. Even though we don't speak Italian, we were able to communicate and it made for more memories.
P.R. (New York City, NY USA)
Casa Andrea was just wonderful! we loved the spaciousness and the tranquility. The location was wonderful, we explored some wonderful towns besides Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano we were close to Siena on the west and Cortona and Arezzo and even Umbria to the east. The villa was so comfortable, great bedrooms and bathrooms, the livingrooms both inside and outside by the pool were just dreamy and the views were spectacular! We loved our stay here, Thank you!
P.M. (Ontario, Canada)
We admit, we are a picky group.. we were looking for the perfect house and didn't think it existed until we arrived at Casa Andrea. WOW~! The place is just wonderful! Just a short drive off the main road into town, we arrived to a clearing and there sat this wonderful home in a fantastic position to view the surrounding countryside. The house is just goregeous, beautifully decorated it made us feel so comfortable. Which reminds me that I wanted to comment on the beds, I slept like a baby! I don't know if it was the country air or the comfortable beds! What a great location, we loved visiting the small towns especially Montisi and Trequenda. We all agreed it was centrally located to see a lot of things without driving too much. The kitchen was a little small. For breakfast the kitchen at the other end of the house was used for the two bedrooms and the kitchen at the opposite end was used by the people staying in the other three bedrooms. Every morning we would pad outside with a cup of coffee and meet up with the others so it really didn't bother us. We did cook one meal and it was a little tight, but do hire the cook. She was fantastic! We would rent Casa Andrea again, it was a pleasureable experience.
A.C. (Allentown, PA USA)
Casa Andrea lived up to all our expectations, we dined at a number of local restaurants and all were fine. We loved the house and would definitely come back!

Good Morning Patrice,
First of all let me express our sincere condolences at the loss of your mother. Frederica mentioned it when we arrived at the villa. I am including a huge hug from her & one from us.
Thank you so much for all of your help in finding us an absolutely wonderful villa in an incredible area. All of us loved every moment of our stay. I didn't want to leave & when we got home I went to your site & relived the rooms. Our afternoons on the pool house patio sipping wine & dunking bread in olive oil, oregano & parmesan were pure delight. The lizards, the pheasant & fruit bearing trees will be engraved in my memory. Everyone we met was friendly & helpful. My only complaint is that I couldn't speak Italian because I know it would have enhanced my understanding & appreciation of Italy even more.
I have recommended Papavero to my ex-sister-in-law who may be looking for a place with a group of her friends.
Take care & hopefully we will need you again!
