Our time in Tuscany was amazing and you and Carolyn and your staff were a huge huge part of it. You guys took such wonderful care of all of us, both adults and children alike. Really, I have never seen a more attentive, sharper, more thoughtful and fun group of people. You are doing such a terrific job running the Borgo. We miss the Borgo and we miss you... We are talking it up to anyone and everyone. I look forward to staying in touch and hopefully bringing a group back soon. And again, thanks from all of us.

One of the special features of the Borgo is its meeting facilities. We were able to use these in complete seclusion from our spouses and guests. This allowed us to conduct the business we needed while they were able to enjoy all the other facilities of the Borgo. The outstanding features and hospitality we experienced in all the social and fun aspects of the Borgo were in full view during our meetings, including great snacks and drinks, great service, and state of the art meeting facilities including WI-FI and all the electronic elements necessary to ensure an effective meeting. It was terrific and efficient to be able to combine our meetings with the vacation amenities of the Borgo all in the same facility with the same outstanding service and attention to detail.

You know life is good when the most difficult decisions this week were whether to see another hill town or just enjoy the Borgo!

When we first talked about having a retreat in Tuscany for twenty attorneys and their spouses, my head was spinning. The idea of bringing together a group of mostly strangers from different backgrounds and with different agendas to accomplish a common goal was more than a little daunting. Certainly, it was no difficult task recruiting attendees to our own Tuscan village, but I had no idea how much the Borgo would benefit the success of the conference.
The Borgo helped us to strike the ideal balance between relaxed enjoyment and productivity. Something about the setting and long dinners over great bottles of wine inspires people to share ideas and produce results. What ultimately made the week so successful was not only the work we completed, but the opportunity to interact in ways that brought people together. We emerged a more cohesive group, energized to pursue our goals.
We have found the staff at the Borgo to be totally accommodating and always flexible. The week?s agenda was perfectly tuned to our needs. After a leisurely breakfast, our members would convene in the conference room, or when we just couldn?t stand to leave the beautiful morning, on the dining terrace where we sat sipping coffee. After a productive morning, we rejoined our spouses for a light lunch before setting out on the day?s adventure. One day was spent touring the Medieval streets of Siena with an expert local guide. On another, we wound our way from vineyard to vineyard up the slope of Montalcino, tasting world famous Brunellos and enjoying the orderly beauty of the Tuscan hills. Evenings, we would reconvene in the bar for before-dinner drinks and then head upstairs for a Tuscan feast in the dining room. Evenings usually ended slowly, with members lingering under the stars in the courtyard with a glass of wine, or singing along with the piano.
Everyone enthusiastically supported the idea of a second conference at the Borgo. Whereas we had expected a large turnover in attendees, virtually everyone chose to secure spots in our next retreat. I was glad to know the Borgo team would make planning seamless and free me up to concentrate on the issues at hand. Ultimately, the Borgo has helped us to create a sustainable event that is both a source of revenue and even better, unity. We?re thrilled to have the Borgo as our home base abroad!

There are few words to describe the longing I feel for The Borgo. Luigi and his staff's cooking has branded my tongue, the room's are gargantuan yet exquisitely comfortable and the views of the Tuscan country side are always phenomenal whether you are in the pool or rolling out of bed in the morning. I will also only have fond memories of the staff, who I will always consider friends. It's a vacation that you simply have to experience to understand and I sincerely hope that you make the trip.

A magical place, a serene gathering of beautifully restored buildings with exceptional landscaping and glorious views of the Tuscan hills. Every amenity has been considered here in this elegant setting: the health club is one of the best my family has ever seen, the pool situated perfectly for relaxing while overlooking the countryside. The bedrooms and suites are exquisite and one has a choice of a separate house for an entire family or a suite or suites in the Manor House. The food is wonderful, the chefs unique, original and their food is consistently delicious. Finally, Marco and Carolyn oversee every element of your stay with care, thoughtfulness and precision. We have gone back again and again because there is no place like it

Our Borgo experience certainly ranks among the most memorable family travel events ever! We leave with heavy hearts for points south, knowing that nothing could exceed the Borgo?s food, flora, fauna, and fun. Unforgettable! We hope to see you all again soon.

Watching the rebirth of the Borgo over the last five years has been a bit like being able to view a time-lapse photography sequence spanning some 800 years ? and somehow projecting beyond, into the future. The ruins we saw on our first visit have been transformed into what they once were, and more ? not simply reborn, but re-created, wonderfully modernized, yet ancient. The accommodations are luxuriously comfortable, the food from Luigi?s kitchen a series of memorable feasts and delicacies, the hilltop setting like a painting of a manicured Tuscan landscape. Best of all the Borgo conveys a sense of time and place that soothes, breeds contentment and good fellowship ? with a bit of help from the seemingly bottomless supply of Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello.

Over the years I?ve had the good fortune to be able to experience many 5-star resorts and hotels in the United States and Europe. The Borgo rates with the best of them. Old world charm is combined with state of the art features such as an excellent audio visual center, spacious conference room and exercise/spa/pool area to live for. In the morning I enjoyed opening the shutters of my comfortable bedroom to look out over the rolling Tuscan hills. In almost every direction there is a picture perfect view of Tuscany in all of its grandeur. The food and wine were fabulous and the service couldn?t be better. These ingredients are important but there is also an intangible warmth and energy that the Borgo has which contributes to this as a special place for retreats, conferences and family gatherings. Certainly a center of excellence, which I highly recommend. I look forward to enjoying the Borgo experience again.

This past week has been a true vacation, a delightful mix of good friends, beauty, fine food and wine, peaceful encounters with the surrounding tours, lively conversations among us all, and a better understanding of the history of this country and its people, and, hopefully, a better understanding our ourselves. Borgo Finocchieto exceeded all of our expectations. The information we received before coming does not begin to do justice to the absolute beauty, authenticity, and quality of the Borgo and its property. But as spectacular as it is, what really makes it stand out is the quality of its impeccable world class service personified by the graciousness and competence of you both and Luigi?s outstanding kitchen?
