The property was lovely and well kept, overall had a wonderful experience and had a wonderful time. The location was terrific, if you wanted to be in the rural chianti wine area. That was our preference and it worked wonderfully for us. Patrice was terrific and easy to work with, and we were quite pleased. Here are some constructive comments that I hope are helpful:
The caretaker at the villa who met us did not speak a word of English. It was very hard to understand and communicate with him regarding even the basics of the villa, so we were left to figure it out ourselves. Would have been nice if someone spoke English ( Note from Papavero ; The caretaker does not speak English, but we do give out the emergency number of a person that does. Our apologies for this inconvenience. I wish I would have known while you were there and I could have arranged someone to come over to the villa. ) It would have been very helpful to have a villa guide book at the villa. ( Note from Papavero: the Villa Guide went missing,don't know if the previous guests took it as a memento, but have brought this up with the owner) Beds and pillows were very hard, we found them very uncomfortable. We were also very surpirsed that the housekeeper arrived at 8 am every morning it was a bi early and because we didn't speak Italian, we could not ask her to come later. She also did not change the linens or towels midweek.
Again, these are just some comments and feedback. The villa was lovely and very well kept. The grounds were magnificent, and we had a terrific trip. Thank you!
