We are sitting here on the terrace, overlooking the vineyards that produced the wines in our glasses and are just in awe.The staff is excellent, we've enjoyed your cousin being our driver to the Cinque Terre for the day, he felt like he was part of our family, so helpful and caring and always making sure we can reach him during our visits to the 5 towns. The villa cook is extraordinary and the views are incredible. We feel so at home and so Italian this week. Thanks for helping us choose the right villa - you were spot on to recognize exactly what we were looking for

Hi Patrice- we can't believe it either! Time if flying. We LOVE Lucca!!!! The house has been great. We know our way around Lucca, Guamo, Vorno now without using the GPS !!!! People have been so helpful everywhere. My bits and pieces of Italian are getting better too!!!! We went to Siena today, last week Forte di Marmi, Bolgheri ,Lavorno. Our daughters arrive tomorrow so we will enjoy Lucca with them and also go to Florence, Cinque Terra. We have our routine of going to the gym/ playing tennis and eating at many good restaurants! We love Al Olivo in Lucca , pizza at Nonna Mariano and Leo's, cappuccino at Sottopogio. We had one bad meal at La Cecca - steak was tough and no flavor. We also went to cantina di Alfredo the other night ( Maika told us )and it was good - a bit of a ride but lively place. Shopping in Lucca good too! I like Guidi that is not far from here too! Essalunga for groceries! We feel like we belong!!!!!! Lol Talk when we return! Barbara
