A short walk will take you to some very small but very interesting museums, such as the Horne Museum, the museum of the story of science, dedicated to Galileo, and two ancient herbal shops, Erboristeria and Erboristeria della Antica Farmacia del Cinghiale (Herbalist at the Old Boar Pharmacy). You can purchase herbal soaps, potpourri and fragrances made from ancient recipes by monks and nuns throughout Tuscany. A few more steps and you are at the Piazza della Signoria and the world famous Uffizi. And that's just in one direction!

ACCOMMODATIONS

A large entrance hall leads you down a corridor to an eat-in kitchen which has two windows facing the famous Piazza Santa Croce. Continue down the hall and you enter the large living/dining room. The living room with windows overlooking the Piazza extends back to a simple Tuscan dining table. Beyond the dining room is a doorway that to a short hallway, on your right is a bathroom with shower on your left is the entrance to the Twin bedroom that can be combined into a King on request. From a small balcony off this bedroom you reach the laundry room.
on the other side of the living room, facing the Piazza Santa Croce is the master bedroom, with a queen sized bed and an en suite bathroom with tub with beautiful green tiles and terracotta floors. A glass wall and doors lead to a little private study with desk and windows looking out over the piazza. You are ensured a quiet night's sleep from the piazza below with double pane glass and the glass walled study.
