The magnificent grounds surrounding the villa include a private pond with its own island and a spacious floodlit salt water swimming pool (14m x 4m – depth 1.6m). A BBQ and outdoor tables and chairs invite al fresco dining.
Located just ten minutes from the medieval walled town of Lucca, Casa Matteucci is a perfect base for exploring Chianti and the hilltowns of Tuscany. Florence is an hour away, and Pisa is just 30 minutes. Hike the dramatic cliff villages of the Cinqueterre (1 hour), explore the seaside of the Versilian Riviera (30 minutes) or relax at a nearby thermal spa. Tennis and horseback riding facilities are available in the area, and 18-hole golf courses are found in nearby Montecatini or in Versilia.

The main entrance leads into a grand salon of comfortable sofas and armchairs, with a cozy fireplace, stereo system, satellite TV, and dual video player. The fully equipped Tuscan kitchen is a dream to cook up your finds from the morning market. A spacious dining room, study with telephone, fax, internet access and computer facilities, bathroom, and laundry complete this floor.

First Floor
Five sunny and spacious queen bedrooms and one twin/double bedroom, all with beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, and modern en suite bathrooms.

San Colombano: twin bed (80cm x 190cm) that can be converted into a double; en-suite bathroom with shower. This room has an adjoining door to San Paolino with three steps up. making it ideal for families. This room is also reached from the hallway.
