This villa is located on 750 acres of land between Pisa and San Gimignano, where the owners, who live next door, raise cattle and horses. The views are quite spectacular as you gaze out from your hilltop villa onto a hilly landscape and rolling fields of wheat, oats and hay mixed with forests and brushes and grazing livestock. From your terrace you can see the town of Volterra, almost 20 miles away. Along the ridges, tall cypress trees mark the boundaries instead of fences and ancient olive trees are cultivated in the traditional Tuscan method.
The property goes back over 500 years, when it is thought that the famous architect, Buontalenti designed the main villa over ancient Etruscan ruins for a Tuscan Count. Villa Rossa was originally a stable to house the Count's prized horses and was later converted into the farm manager's house only to be recently restored to the beautiful villa that it is today.

GROUND FLOOR
Enter through a sunny loggia into a double living room with study with a fireplace and Satellite TV hidden within an antique armoire. To your right is a large, modern yet Tuscan style fully equipped eat-in kitchen with a remarkable black stone floor. From the kitchen are French doors that lead out to the pergola, a covered terrace with tables and chairs that looks out onto a breathtaking Tuscan landscape that stretches out for miles, perfect for relaxing and dining al fresco. Steps lead down to the in ground swimming pool. The laundry room is in the back of the house, adjacent to the kitchen and consists of a washing machine and dryer, iron, ironing board and clothes rack. A full bathroom with tub completes this floor.

FIRST FLOOR
Upstairs are four bedrooms that can be made as either double or twin rooms. Each room has beautiful wide plank wood floors, telephones, intercom and ceiling fans. The master bedroom has a sofa bed that can be used as child's bed if necessary. There are two hall bathrooms, both with large showers.

The rooftop terrace offers you a 360 degree view of the breathtaking landscape and the skyline of the town of Volterra.
