On a hillside five miles south of the ancient walled city of Lucca stands Casa Trenta – an attractive and comfortable country residence, designed and built in the early 19th century. Nestled in the quiet greenery of a terraced garden, Casa Trenta has its own private park that extends over eleven acres. The park is accessible from the house down a romantic, cypress-lined lane. A true oasis of peace and tranquillity, the house is just a mile from a charming Tuscan village with a grocery store and shops. The swimming pool area is slightly elevated, with commanding views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Decorated and appointed with exquisite taste, Casa Trenta is elegantly furnished with many fine antiques. Outside there are a number of perfect locations for unforgettable al fresco dining, evening drinks or just a quiet read. A maid comes in five times a week and can prepare delicious meals for you, all included in the rental price!
There are many things to see and do in this area. Lucca has some wonderful examples of Roman, medieval and Renaissance archictecture and many grand churches. The Renaissance wall of Lucca is the most significant monument of the city. These walls have allowed the historic center to change little in the last 500 years and were transformed into a beautiful public walkway. Even today, forbidden to cars, the walls constitute a daily destination for the Lucchese, offering visitors numerous scenic paths. There are excellent motorway, rail and bus connections so you can easily explore the rest of Tuscany and central Italy. The beaches of Versilia and the Leaning Tower of Pisa (not to mention the airport) are within half an hour's drive and you can easily be in Florence or the wine country of Chianti in just over an hour.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Ground Floor
The front door opens onto a large living room and adjoining sitting room. French doors open to the outside terrace which is furnished with comfortable garden furniture. On the left as you come in is a study with TV and en suite guest bathroom. On the right is the dining room and spacious, fully-equipped kitchen. There is access from the kitchen to another terrace with table and chairs for al fresco dining.

First Floor
A staircase between the dining room and the living room leads to the first floor. On the right at the top is a study with its beautifully decorated ceiling. From there, an ornate corridor leads to the bedrooms. Two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom share two adjacent bathrooms, one with shower and the other with bathtub. Access to the master bedroom (again with adjacent bathroom with tub) is on the left. A very comfortable single bedroom completes this floor.
