The kind owner lives on the estate and is a famous interior designer who has restored many farmhouses in the Val d'Orcia area of Siena province. She went to great pains in restoring these three cottages, scouring the countryside for wonderful antique furniture and accents throughout the house, including antique luxury silk fabrics that she made into bedspreads and curtains. Special touches are found throughout the cottages, including glass French doors to the bedrooms with floor to ceiling curtains creating a warm, comfortable cocoon feeling when closed. She used state of the art bathroom fixtures, with floating glass shower doors and rainfall showerheads. Outdoor living areas for each cottage for relaxing al fresco and a general parking lot with private paths leading to each cottage have been carefully designed as well.
The estate is gated, located at the edge of a small town just six kilometers from the center of Florence. Here you have the best of both worlds. You are nestled among almost four acres of olive trees and vineyards and a large garden tended by Guilio, who will share his bounty with you.
The village is a ten minute walk down hill where you have very good restaurants, a coffee bar and regular bus service to the center of Florence on an hourly basis until 11pm in the evening.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Cottage 1 - sleeps 4
Enter from the terrace into a beautiful eat in kitchen with pink pastel color washed walls and rooster and chicken motifs. Charming and cozy, you will most likely want to spend a few meals here, even if the terrace is convenient and inviting! The kitchen cabinets are from recycled old wood gathered from barns and other old structures. A pretty cabinet for dishes uses new chicken wire as backing to the shelving giving a warm and wonderful welcome feel to the house. Next to the kitchen is the living room with modern fireplace and French doors that lead out to another garden and small terrace. Adjacent to the living room are two bedrooms - a twin bedroom that can be converted into a king bed, with spectacular glass and wood French doors. A unique interior curtain covers the entire wall and ensures your privacy. This room has a large walk-in closet and an en suite bathroom with tub and wall mounted rain showerhead. Further down the hall is another bedroom - this one a double bed, with a large built-in armoire and a spacious en suite bathroom with rain shower.
GARDEN
Beautiful terrace outside the kitchen door and new for 2015 is a upper deck with hardwood floors and natural wood branch rails. Comfortably furnished, the owner built this so her guests can soak up the incredible views of Florence in the distance. Especially beautiful in the evenings when the city is lit up, but day or evening the Duomo is the highlight. You can easily imagine the young Michelangelo taking his daily walk into Florence from his boyhood village that this villa is located in.
