We think that there are only two apartments for rent in Florence of this caliber. If you are looking for luxury, space and amenities you need look no further. Located in a Renaissance Palace designed by the famous Florentine architect Brunelleschi's ( who designed the world famous Duomo), completed this building in 1420. The apartment is on the Piano Nobile, this was the term for the "Noble Floor" of a classic Renaissance Palazzo that was always one floor above the ground floor where the service staff and storefronts were located. The rooms on the Piano Nobile had finer views and always have the largest windows in the building.

This building has a lovely history. Between 1577 and 1582 the owner, Count Giovanni de Bardi invited a special group of musicians, poets, intellectuals and humanists to discuss and guide the trends in the arts. This group was called The Florentine Camerata. The most famous men of Florence have crossed its threshold.

The palace now houses 8 luxury apartments and on the ground floor there is a stylish cafe that compliments those apartments. It too has clean modern lines, with a touch of history and a menu that reflects that style as well, such as Speck instead of Prosciutto with melon, a Super Tuscan olive oil Tasting, Tortelli with Artichokes, Gnocchi with Nettle (I've only had this at my family's home), Beef Tartare with Cognac, Roasted Pork loin with potatoes and rosemary and white chocolate mousse. Walk up to the first floor, as there is no elevator, and you enter a dreamy home with a blend of the new and old. From street level you enter to the interior courtyard. Walk up a flight of stairs to the front door.

FIRST FLOOR
A large open foyer leads into a library area and the large windows found in 15th century piano noble floors. The three bedrooms face out to these large windows with a common open area in front of them. The master bedroom has en suite bathroom with tub, the other two bedrooms each have a private sitting area and en suite showers and share a powder room.

LOFT AREA
From the foyer, a grey stone staircase leads up to the living area that runs the length of the apartment. Light colored wood floors, an ancient Renaissance painted wood ceiling And glass panels run the full length of the loft giving unobstructed views down to the area between the large Renaissance windows and the bedrooms. Light from those windows flood the apartment. You will never feel closed in no matter where you are in this apartment.
At the top of the stairs is the spacious minimalist living room with Flat Screen TV. Further on is the fully equipped modern kitchen with double stainless steel sink, large oven, American sized refrigerator with ice maker, and bar area then the modern dining room with poppy red accent chairs.
