Situated above the Amalfi coast in a peaceful setting with a swimming pool, among palm trees and lush lawns, Villa Suri is a serene escape from our busy lives, yet it is only a comfortable ten minute walk to the main piazza of Ravello and the Villa Rufolo's vast terrace that seems to hang right over the sea far below. It is here that renowned concerts of the Musical Festival are held. Ravello is a genteel town, sophisticated and home to many artists and writers throughout the centuries. It also holds a lively street market every Tuesday morning where you can buy mozzarella cheese that was made the night before, superb local wines – you have to try Ravello's own white wine, Episcopio – and their own pressed olive oils, as well as bargains on fashionable clothing from as far away as Milan. Walk past the main piazza and you will find many restaurants where the locals are sitting at the tables next to you. Spend a morning at the cooking class at the famous Mamma Agata's cooking school, attend a classical outdoor concert set in one of the many beautiful Ravello gardens, catch a sunset on Villa Cimbrone's Terrace of Infinity or attend one of the many summer festivals. Take the via Roma from Ravello to Minori, a magical walk between cottages and archways, through terraced fields of vineyards and olive groves with a breathtaking backdrop of the blue green sea. After touring the quaint village of Minori and visiting the church of Santa Trofimena and the first century Roman villa in the canter of town, catch the hourly bus that either takes you north to Amalfi and Positano or return back to Ravello for a relaxing nap under a palm tree and a dip in your private pool.
Villa Suri is a comfortable home, furnished with antique furniture, old paintings, original artworks and high-quality furnishings. The floors are brightly colored majolica tiles, handmade by local artists and typical of this area. It is easily accessible from the road, with few steps.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Enter through the electronic gate off the main road to Ravello and along the private driveway that slopes downhill to the parking area for four small cars. From the parking lot, nine steps will take you to the terrace and front door.
GROUND FLOOR:
Nine steps from the parking area leads you to the terrace. Partly shaded it is furnished with comfortable wicker sofa and armchairs and dining tables and chairs for alfresco dining. From the terrace, three French doors open into a large and spacious living/dining room with original handmade majolica tiles. This room includes a dining table seating up to ten people, two comfortable upholstered sofas and armchairs centered around a working fireplace, a flat screen satellite TV, a DVD player, a CD player and an individual air conditioning/heating unit. From the living room, you enter the well equipped kitchen with table for four, ideal for breakfasts in shifts, or prepping a wonderful Italian dinner from the fresh produce and fish you purchased the same morning. Two French doors lead out to another terrace with panoramic views of the sea and the valley below. A retractable awning covers the large dining table for those times in the day that you need shelter from the sun. On this terrace you have a barbeque and wood fired pizza oven. Lovely views of the gardens and Amalfi coastline from this terrace as well. There is also a full bath with shower on the ground floor that also houses the washing machine. This bathroom is for one of the bedrooms located on the first floor.
FIRST FLOOR:
The staircase of sixteen steps leads to the sleeping area. A double en suite bedroom has a window overlooking the gardens. Three more bedrooms are on this floor; two twin bedrooms that can be combined into king beds and one double bedroom, all opening onto a 436 square foot terrace with a retractable awning. The terrace is furnished with tables, chairs and lounge chaises. The view from this terrace is the villa's lush gardens and trees and a partial view of the sea in the distance. There are two hall bathrooms, one with tub and the other with shower. All bedrooms are furnished with TVs and personal air conditioners/heaters.
The fifth bedroom is completely independent, accessed from the terrace. En suite with tub, it has two arched windows with views of the sea and coastline.
GARDENS:
The villa sits on almost three acres of beautifully tended gardens and terraced fields which are planted with vineyards, lemon and orange trees, bougainvilleas and a large variety of Mediterranean plants. The heated swimming pool is on the lower and widest terrace of the property and is three feet deep at the shallow end and ten feet deep at the deepest part.
